Police were called to Gerard and Linda Slavin’s East Camden Avenue apartment in the Moorestowne Woods Apartment Homes on Sunday, May 19, where they found Linda Slavin, 73, dead in the couple’s bedroom around 3 p.m., Burlington County Prosecutor LaChia L. Bradshaw said.

An autopsy performed on Monday, May 20 by Burlington County Medical Examiner Dr. Ian Hood determined that Linda Slavin died from strangulation, Bradshaw said alongside Moorestown Township Public Safety Director Patrick J. Reilly Jr.

Gerald Slavin has been charged with murder and aggravated assault (strangulation, second-degree), and lodged in the county jail pending a detention hearing in Superior Court.
